A "Hammer" tough afternoon in hammer .. / A "Hammer" hard Afternoon in Hammer

Yesterday afternoon she met with the patchwork group of Hammer, a Kiel district, the heart pillow sewing in a room of St. Gabriel's Church and Nora and I were invited. First, our eyes fell on a wall hanging crafted by the group that we had to admire first:

A great collaborative effort, which was written as of the 92-year-old mother of a worker inside the patch embroidered!
But then it was time for work: two participants had brought their sewing machines, patchwork Erin Marlis already cut a lot of heart pillows and parts is already sewn. Was able to spread a lot of work: sew pillow, flip pads, pillows filled with stuffing, sew up the last hole ...

There were all busy! Next came the exchange of news is also not too short ....
looked in between the pure spirit of Martin Kieler Nachrichten, to make a report on this meeting, we'll see when we find ourselves in the newspaper!
And after about 4 hours, then all sewn pillows, the stuffing is used up and the result of this action could be seen:

from the empty Stuffing envelopes the cushion we have sewn the same bags in which many heart pillow, more precisely, there were 120 pieces could be transported!
Nora and I can only again a big thank you to all volunteers and donors of materials to the hard-working seamstresses Gila, Marlene, Irmgard and Inga, say to Marlis, Gerlinde, Christel, and Birgit Yrsa
And I ask for the Donations of cloth which were again the process of the subjects had marked children and I was allowed to take as a donation for the action Frühchenquilts , Thank you also for the sister of Inga!

And so did all your strength, was provided with a top tasty soup for the physical well!

It was a beautiful, busy and enjoyed many beautiful heart pillow afternoon!

Yesterday afternoon the group met to hammer patchwork heart-sew pillows and Nora and I were invited to join them. When we entered the room belonging to the church of Hammer (a district of Kiel) we looked at a big wall-hanging Which We admired so much!! The text for example was stitched by the 92 year old mother of one of the Patch Work!
But then work on what the plan: two members brought their sewing-machines with them  to this meeting, others had cut out plenty of heart-pillows and some were sewn already! So our work started: some sewed the pillows, some turned right side out, some were filling them, some closed the last opening....
By the time a reporter from the Kieler Nachrichten dropped in to make a little report about our meeting.
After 4 hours or so... all pillows were sewn, the wadding was used up and the result of this action could show up: 120 new heart-pillows!!
Nora and I once again say a big"thank you" to all sewers and donators of fabrics!
And I got a donation of more children like fabrics for the Frühchenquilts-action  !
